The editorial desk

Trade Compass PK is an independent editorial desk that covers one narrow subject in depth: what Pakistani readers need to know about Pocket Broker, the local nickname for the trading platform Pocket Option. We publish this site ourselves. We are not the platform, not its support team, not a broker, and not an agent for anyone.

That independence is worth stating early, because a lot of what is written about this brand in Pakistan comes from people who earn a commission and do not say so. We do earn from affiliate links, and the partner disclosure page explains exactly how. What that money never buys is a sentence in a guide.

What this site covers

Everything here sits inside one topic: getting started with Pocket Broker from Pakistan and understanding what you are signing up to. The guides deal with installing the Android app, signing in, funding a balance through the payment rails the platform lists, taking a first withdrawal, the demo account, and the questions readers most often arrive with about legitimacy, regulation and Islamic finance.

It is written for a reader in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar or anywhere else in the country who has heard the name from a friend or a YouTube video and wants a straight explanation before putting money anywhere. No prior trading knowledge is assumed. The same guides exist in Urdu, Punjabi and Pashto because a financial decision is easier to make in the language you think in.

How we work

Every page is built from documents anyone can open. Our sources are the platform's own website, its Public Offer, Payment Policy, payment-methods list and risk disclosure, plus its official Google Play listing. Where a fact is not in one of those, it does not appear on this site as a fact.

We have not opened a funded account, run withdrawals or timed a payout, and we do not pretend otherwise. There is no "our team tested this" here, because we did not. What we give you instead is the framework: what to check, where to check it, and what a good answer looks like.

The same honesty applies to the regulatory question, and this is the part readers ask about most. One thing is confirmed: the platform names no regulator and no licence number anywhere on its own website. The other half is genuinely open. The SECP and State Bank of Pakistan registers could not be read while this guide was being built, so we cannot tell you whether the platform appears in a Pakistani register, a warning list, or neither. We will not fill that gap with a guess in either direction. Nobody is served by a site that calls a platform licensed when it cannot show a licence, or illegal when it has not read the register. So our regulation, legitimacy and safety pages do something different: they show you how to search the SECP register yourself, and what to do with what you find.

Figures change, so check them

Minimum deposits, withdrawal limits, available payment methods and app versions are all things the platform can change without telling anyone. We date what we publish and recheck the money-related pages when the platform updates its own documents, but the current number always lives on the platform's pages, not on ours. Before you fund anything, confirm the figure in your own account cabinet.

If you spot something on this site that has gone out of date or reads wrong, tell us. Corrections are the quickest way to make a guide better.

Who edits this site

Nadir Ashfaq, Markets and Payments Editor, is responsible for what is published here, from the choice of topics to the final wording of every page. Questions about sourcing, corrections or how a conclusion was reached go to the same desk, through the contact page.

One last thing that belongs on an about page rather than buried in a footnote: fixed-time and CFD trading can lose you money, and plenty of people who try it end up down. Nothing on this site is financial advice or a recommendation to trade.
